Safe Rigging Practices

12/01/2007 1:03 PM

Type your question here.

1. When lifting a load using a 2-leg bridle sling, in which direction should the 'points' of the rigging hooks be? Inwards or outwards?Give theorectical calculation to justify the answer.

2. When using a choker hitch, the capacity of the sling is downgraded due to its curvature. Can someone give the theoretial calculation for how much the capacity should be downgraded at different angles of choke?
