FTA Cards in DCS

please anybody can tell about the function of FTA(Field Termination Assembly) cards in DCS,require some details

Feild termination cards are exactly that. It allows the connections to be made semi-remotely and runs only one cable (per card) back to the main DCS frame. This means that the area around your main frame does not get clogged with incoming and outgoing cables.

FTA (Field Terminator Assembly) is nothing but the assembly that contains barrier or isolator with its power supply. FTA have different slot 16 or 8 depending on its type. Each slot have 1 or 2 channel based on its configuration. And on that channel isolator or barrier is mounted. For more information just go through the one yokogawa model of FTA i.e. 9195/16A-YO1-06A2 for I.S. Isolator
