Windows 11 Icons on Icons

Still getting used to Windows 11 (please no complaints from Windows haters)

But on my desktop icons, I can occasionally see additional little icons on the lower left side.

Sometimes green marker, sometimes red, other times a speaker shape. I've done some research but cannot find anything to explain......

Another quirk, I cannot seem to figure out the Snipping tool!!!!!

Any help??

I use it a lot on my Win10 laptop. But Win11 looks different.........

Acts like it is snipping, but cannot get what I want captured. Don't see a version.

Finally figured the W11 Snipping.....

Tonight - another variation of the icon on icon....

still unsure......

Never an issue with file access.

On many icons - seems different on each access to desktop.

A solid blue circle with two white arrows going in a circle means that your file or folder is in the process of updating. If you chose to add it to your hard drive with the selective sync feature, this icon could mean that it's still in the process of syncing to your hard drive.

I just built a new desktop and installed the un-familiar windows 11 pro. I use to build one every year or so, but have not for 10 years now. And the old rig said no to win 11 upgrade.

So I slapped a new one together and put win 11 on it. But you had asked for no hater comments. And after being loyal to MS thru all the BSOD's with various versions thru-out the years....after installing 11....I am a win 11 hater.

I'M considering putting win 10 back on. So, respecting your first post, I will not comment further.
