Amazing what people were able to accomplish with what we would consider as very rudimentary tools. Now we would have a dozen microprocessors and gigabytes of RAM and lithium thionyl chloride cells.

The presenter implicity states that this video covers technological innovation only. Clearly, bravery, misinformation, strategy, and a nation's dedication to winning this war were also ingredients that without, victory would have been much more difficult.

But to overlook the innovations that came along as a result of the war and dismiss them...hmm.

Britian's ability to produce aircraft faster than the Germans is a clear factor in why they won the Battle for Britian. And, I guarantee you that Engineers had a role in that.

Similarly, the Sherman tank was out-gunned and out-maneuvered by the German Tiger and Panzer tanks, but by sheer volume, helped turn the tide. The U.S. learned much from its armor experiences in WWII and the M-48, M-60 and then the M-1 tanks incorporated much of those lessons.
