High Frequency CFC for 1pA to 10uA range Current Signal

06/27/2023 4:14 AM

Hello,

There is need of a High Frequency CFC for 1pA to 10uA range Current Signal.

1MHz or 10MHz range full scale CFC is ideal. Any design ideas?

VFC can also be used along with IVC.

QFC can also be used.

Would this be for monitoring heartbeat...?

I know this probably isn't the application, but the method might give some ideas....

No, sensor signal in pA to uA current dynamic range to convert into TTL frequency source for opto isolation.

Is this for your ion trap? I am not familiar with CFC, VFC, IVC or QFC.

Do you have an electrical schematic for the trap? And are you suppose to feed it with 200 V @ 6MHz? Where are you getting your specs from?

Is this a commercial manufactured trap or a home brew trap? Perhaps the previous owner/user or manufacturer could help you.

CFC: Current to Frequency Converter

VFC: Voltage to Frequency Converter

IVC: Current to Voltage Converter

QFC: Charge to Frequency Converter

<...There is...need...> to translate the following acronyms:

  • <...CFC...>
  • <...VFC...>
  • <...IVC...>
  • <...QFC...>

Otherwise it is not fair to the reader who is hoping to learn something from the thread.

<...1MHz or 10MHz...> is well within the domain of commercially-available bench-top signal generators.
