2sc516 or bc516

We have a electronic card of murata machconner machine in which we found a transistor defective number is C516.

I found BC516 ,is that equivalent to C516.

According to my knowledge the C516 is actually 2SC516.

While the BC516 is different...

Likely the faulty item is a 2SC516 as that is the normal marking for any transistor made in the Asian sphere. From my experience transistors will be marked BC516 in the European world. Even more confusing is if they are only marked 516, but at least you have the C516.

According to alldatasheet dot com, the equivalent is BC516

Your transistor is nothing like BC516. Not even remotely like.
It is a 400v transistor The leads are b c e when the heatfin is at the back of the transistor. Test the transistor with a little 3v motor on a 6v supply and 1k on the base to 6v.
If the motor spins, the transistor is good.
