Unable to Post to CR4 with Pictures

It's a real mystery init?

Tried this copy paste from paint....tried another one first wouldn't work...this is an altered file, the other one wasn't...

Tried this several times, finally worked...now i'll add text...this time it was from the web, not a saved pic...

I don't see a pattern yet...

Ah the image path seems to be working....save your pic and hit choose filepath, when the window opens click on the file you want to post...by the way this is my million dollar marble...it didn't cost a million dollars, it just looks like a million dollars..haha(yes I collect marbles)

I believe I tried 5 times total. I tried from png files, jpg files and clipboard copy. All had two images and (wild guess) between 100 and 200 words. The last two tries had a 300x251 image and a 300x283 image.

I even made an additional attempt with a url to an image saved in DropBox. The DropBox shared links looked to me like they should have called up an image, but they didn't work in my CR4 posting. When I tried the links by themselves, they posted a HTML page that included the DropBox owners name. Thus, it is not going to work as a CR4 inline image.

I could try adding the images to a directory under a "normal web site" and then use an open Internet url. At the moment, the only web site I have quickly and easily available has my identification on it. So far, Del the Cat, the French River construction guy and the guy that wrote a couple of electrical engineering text books are the only people I can think of that have actually identified themselves. There is another I figured out, and another that actually lived a couple of blocks away from me until a year ago. Somehow the Internet seems a little safer if I remain just "BruceFlorida". Thus, hanging a picture under a live web site and posting with the url isn't an option currently available to me.

My last two tries were on a very modern Windows 11 box running a current version of FireFox. Earlier tries were on an older Linux box that I am using now for this reply.

Does any of this inspire suggestions of "try this" or "that specific method was a bad idea"?

I'm not very fond of trying over and over, hoping I will eventually get a different result. When it comes to failing, I have the ability to be pretty consistent.

Well at least you know what the problem is...and so do I...at least it seems to be the case...time will tell...

Just failed again. First submit attempt produced the error message in my initial posting. Going back and trying again yielded:

Could not process form: This form was already processed once, and it cannot be submitted again.

Trial & error gets a little tougher when I have to change my posting each time I try.

I believe the source path is encoded ...

Don't see how this would compromise your identity...

I try it step by step....

copy and paste the file into paint, under file, select 'save as' and give the file a name

save the file as a .jpg in pictures...

on image path, click on that file in pictures, and hit open , the file name should appear in the little window, hit choose button....

When I attempted to edit my previous post and add "Well, that worked" to it, I got this error message:

They don't seem to be working from the clipboard...try saving it as a file and try the insert image path

Right clicked on the $$$marble above and saved to my down loads file.

Hit the camera button above the writing area. hit choose file. Chose the $$$ marble file.

Voila.

It really is a nice marble.

Edit: when viewed after posting I can see the marble.

We have third party confirmation...

If the above process does not work for you I suggest the problem is at your end.

Might be your "anti" software or some setting for computer access.

I was starting to think I had lost my marbles. Good thing SE has one here for me.

The image is 385 x 400. Posting an image of this size twice is approximately what I was trying to do.

Trying to post both of my images in a single posting.

EDIT: It seems to be working now. As far as I know, I am not doing anything different.

That looks like a needle point grid clip from an old Henway.

Seems to work fine here.

some pictures deserve to be posted at different website perhaps or hubs
