Repulsive Casimir Effect

07/20/2024 8:12 AM

The Casimir Effect has been shown that it can also be repulsive as well as attractive. The effect is small but can the effects be increased by paralleling or series connecting the plates to create a net usable force?

That would enable very efficient travel in space, or elsewhere.

Interesting. The force is between two plates very close together, so I'm not sure how it could be used for travel unless you're not going very far...
