Killer Whales Playing with Food

I have seen farm cats rip the abdomen of rats wide open like a razor, and then sling the rat high into the air. Eventually, after the intestines are removed by this "playful " action, the cat will eat the rat. In effect, the cat has field dressed the rat like any good hunter will do with big game.

IMHO the killer whales are doing the same thing: Field dressing their prey.

They do not like the taste of their intestines, especially other marine mammals, like dolphins.

The leopard seal removes the skin from his prey before eating it in the video.He may be having fun but it serves a purpose.The killer whale tosses it's prey around to remove the entrails,and tenderize the meal.They hit so hard after the flipping that their entrails exit through their rectum or mouth without ripping their abdomen.It also looks like a game of play,but it serves a useful purpose.It is amazing to me that a creature of that size is able to outmaneuver and out swim a much smaller and more agile prey,like a dolphin.What POWER!

I wonder what a killer whale could do with pizza dough?

I have read that killer whales do not really attack humans, or have them on their menus for that matter.
why, it’s not really known.

IMO, this may be changing once it begins.

Orcas in the wild are not known to attack or kill humans.

The reason is they cannot dive deep enough to get to the lawyers or politicians,

They are bottom feeders and are below the whale dung layer,in which they are quite comfortable.Eventually,under heat and pressure,they will become coprolite.

I think the political bullring is like the WWE wrestling:enemies in public,friends in private,swapping girls and nose candy.

I am sorry.That is an insult to WWE wrestlers.My bad.
