My comment has been flagged as spam.

I pondered the title of the thread, and decided to ask AI if it is, indeed, a subset of human thinking. Here is the response:

No, AI is not a subset of human thinking; rather, it is a technology that simulates certain aspects of human intelligence, such as learning and decision-making, but operates differently and can exceed human capabilities in specific tasks. AI models are designed to process information and make decisions based on data, often without human-like reasoning.

A closing thought: Do I need to credit AI generated text as intellectual property, or is it simply randomly arranged internet ink?

The title implies that AI thinks. That implies that it is sentient. I don't think it has come that far yet, if it ever will is questionable.

I asked Google: "How does ChatGPT work?"

"ChatGPT is a sophisticated chatbot that generates human-like text by learning patterns from vast amounts of text data. It works by analyzing your input, breaking it down into smaller components, and then predicting the most likely sequence of words to form a coherent and contextually relevant response. This prediction is based on the patterns and probabilities it learned during its training phase, making it seem like a conversation partner. "

It doesn't seem like something like this would work, but apparently it does. I went straight to the source, Google AI.

It's like having a friend who reads a lot, and in any situation, he is reminded of something he's read. When he quotes it, he sounds intelligent even though he's never had an idea of his own. (But, occasionally, by accident, he may put things together that actually do fit.)

That's my take on it, anyway...

It seems that these varied AI generators are so pedantic or hubristic that they won’t even consult one another.

Is this a symptom of the pedantry or hubris of their respective programmers?
