Iron Nanoparticles

09/04/2025 8:40 AM

Iron nanoparticles have many applications, including removing hazardous contaminants from water, however they are relatively energy intensive to produce. I suggest using a fine grinding wheel or abrasive cloth to produce the nano particles and exposing them to moist air to produce the iron oxide (flash rusting). The resulting rust can be screened to get the desired size.

Has this method been explored?
