Schneider Atv 630 SCF1 and SCF3 Fault

1. Is this a new installation?

2. How long has it been in operation?

3. What and when did you set the ground fault levels to for SCF3

4. Are you using shielded wire for your motor leads?

5. The fault will show up with the motor leads disconnected. Do you still have the fault?

I wouldn’t replace the drive just yet. If the motor and cable check out, I’d disconnect the motor from the ATV630 and see if it still throws SCF1/SCF3. If it does with nothing connected to the output, I’d start suspecting the drive itself.
Also check the insulation to ground with a proper megger, not just a regular meter. I’ve seen cables and motors look fine on a basic resistance check and still cause a fault. The timing of the fault matters too, whether it happens at power-up or when you give it a run command can tell you a lot.

From the avalanche of information in your original post I cannot discern whether or not the firmware on the drive has been updated.

The SCF1 fault locking up (unable to clear) is a common subject on the FAQ section of the help pages of the Schneider website, and (according to mfgr) is straightened out with a firmware update, most recent release dated 2025.

Can you confirm the status of your drive firmware for us? And to echo a previous poster, more complete input from you will likely yield better suggestions from the forum.
