There are a number of free project planning software programs available that emulate Microsoft Project.

However, you really need to learn more than just the software for project management! The software is a great tool, just like a good race car, but you still need to know how to drive, which isn't going to found in the car's owner manual.

I would suggest hopping down to your local book store or library and grabbing several books on project management that seem relevant to your needs.

Good luck with your team!

What application(s) are you using for CAD? Are these projects used internally in manufacturing or for clients?

If you don't mind file sizes becoming fairly large, try x-ref'ing the drawings to the individual projects.

I would suggest you search though the colleges for project management in the Engineering sections. You cna find there is this free college eductaion site. This sie lists several Universities which present their courses with out charge, however, they do not lead to college credit or to a degree. For that, you must enrole in college and pay a fee.

Pankaj,

There various software that offers great functionalities that you require and when integrated into your group can help coordinate and manage your time efficiently.

In running my small business I have implemented a project management software, CommuniClique which is accessed through a web-based server. This application essentially eliminated any redundancies and enable me to track all my projects in one shot. I would recommend their product as it is simple to use as it is efficient. Good luck.
