i observed math function in most digital oscilloscopes for what purpose it is used

Might I suggest you do your own basic research.

Google Search Engine, Terms: math function in most digital oscilloscopes

And if you are any good with tools and soldering equipment, you can make one yourself, like that enterprising person.
