Hello gsstakali@yahoo.co.in

I do not send direct email replies, so trust you return to read this Topic, and reply to the points below:

A.) You do not say what your Irrigation tank is made from, please advise:

  1. Wood
  2. Corrugated iron
  3. Concrete
  4. Reinforced Concrete
  5. Polythene
  6. Other - Specify please

B.) Please advise size (dimensions ) and whether:

  1. Round
  2. Square
  3. Other - Specify please

You do not say what that pipeline contains, but I am assuming it contains water.

C.) Please also advise material of the pipe:

  1. Steel
  2. Polythene
  3. PVC
  4. Other - Specify

D.) Size of pipe would also be helpful.

E.) What type of soil is the pipeline embedded in:

  1. Clay
  2. Soil
  3. Gravel (Shingle)
  4. Other - Specify please

F.) How far below the base of the water tank is the buried pipe?

If you are able to reply with some details, calculations may be made, and a useful answer may be given.

Kind Regards, don't forget to give........

I am assuming that you are looking at the pipeline, in which case there is no factor of safety to account for bouyancy. Bouyancy is always explicitly included in direct design calculations at reasonable worst case scenarios (supportable scenarios). Factors of safety are for the unknown variables, conditions, and estimators used in design. Also, it is not clear what you mean exactly by passing under submergence of a minor irrigation tank. Is the pipe inside the tank or under the tank? What is the significance of the term Minor Irrigation? If you are discussing the tank design, you would need to supply a great deal more information. Although, if the tank is partially or fully submerged somehow, bouyancy would still be a direct explicit calculation.
