Hi Hannah - Have a look at your study material and notes first.

I am sure that any reputable institution would have taught you a method of designing for the unknown. If they did not - please provide me with the name.

Mr Grumpy.

The servo (wheel) has been invented and perfected already all you need to do is for YOUR fingers to do the SURFING.

What aspect do you intend to improve?

What special outcome do you want to achieve?

Mr Helpful.

Try the zilog web site... look for timer app notes, and /or the manual for your specific processor. I use Zilog Z86 series micro's... the timers do have a few registers which need to be set up, and can be a tad fiddly/confusing with prescalers and several modes of operation...but I would expect most micros are similar...that's the price we pay for versatility...(heck if it was to anyone could do it). Often it's best to start with an example from the app' notes and then slow methodical experimentation...

Good luck

Del
