Promoting Marble Sawing Slurry as Substitute CaCO3 Source

01/16/2008 10:50 AM

Friends,

I am now launching my patented "Water & Waste Harness System" for marble sawing which collects sawn dust continuously as it is generated making it possible to recover individual mineral fines from each production cycle unlike gravity sedimentation used world over. The payback period of installing the new system depends on generating revenue from this uncontaminated slurry substituting mined marble crushed powdered CaCO3 for various applications.

The world leader of this white mineral supplier informs it has more than 1000 uses. I have to list out all these possible 1000 uses of CaCO3.

Please add your entries to the first entry in the long list..............

Mahess

Mix with resin in molds to make 'synthetic' marble sculptures. (I have a couple I picked up in Greece...)

I'm not sure about the correct proportions, but it can't be too different from casting in rubber molds with plaster. The statues I picked up are (I was told) marble dust mixed with a clear resin, and from the weight, I suspect it's only enough resin to hold the marble particles together (mostly marble). Those statues are miniature copies of classical Greek statues, presumably the molds were taken from small carvings. Sorry, not much detail, but I was just the tourist...not the artist.
