It's called Cloverfield and it opens today.

Yes, I saw the film. I had a ball with it, but I have to admit, I'm a sucker for monster movies, so my opinion is hardly objective. Anyway, I won't be giving anything away when I say it's essentially about a group of friends caught in the middle of a battle between the military and a gigantic sea-monster in Manhattan Island. It's told from the PoV of one of the characters who started out videotaping a going away party and ends up chronicling the battle. Word of warning: if you felt seasick watching the Blair Witch Project, this film will make you puke.
