First the 5 Blade Razor....

04/19/2006 2:38 PM

...Now this. Panasonic has just unveiled a 103 inch TV. And in the spirit of "too much is never enough", Panasonic vice president Andrew Nelkin says he wouldn't be surprised to see someone come up with an even bigger screen before long.

Buying Guide

04/19/2006 3:13 PM

If you're in the market for a plasma TV, you may want to check out this buying guide. As for the "size matters" debate, here's what the author of the buying guide had to say: "Make sure you have adequate viewing space between you and the TV. With Plasma TVs becoming more and more popular —and cheaper—these days, the temptation to purchase the largest screen possible is hard to pass up. However, you must have the proper distance to have the most pleasing viewing experience."

Not that big

My wife and I routinely watch our movies on a screen that is about 100" diagonal. I would make it bigger, but the screen size isn't large enough.

We use a projector mounted behind us. After using this, a normal TV is like viewing a show through a soda straw. The experience is much closer to a theater with the exception that no one's head is in front of you blocking your view.
