Gravity Fed Holding Tank

I need to make a holding tank to bring potable water to room temperature before mixing with plaster. I'm planning on modifying a 55 gallon drum with the necessary fittings to transform it into a gravity fed holding tank. Anybody have any ideas on a low cost lining that I could apply fairly easily?

Why not a plastic drum (no lining required)? Anyone selling them will likely sell or at least advise you where to get fittings (fairly standard stuff). Also, they make 5 and 10 gallon plastic drinking water drums for camping, etc. already complete with a valved spigot.

Marine stores sell "through-hull fittings" that can be used for a bottom outlet. Some plumbing suppliers carry them as "bulkhead fittings." Be sure to check the previous contents of a plastic drum; some toxic liquids are absorbed by polyethylene.
