I can not find a # Phase contactor for this heater. The company has gone out of buisness. Every 3pole 3phase model contactor is unlike the one the specs. call for. What do i do???????????????
Almost certainly Wesix would have purchased the contactor from a supplier who made contactors.
Is there some problem with having to fit the contactor into a small space?
If so, use an external enclosure box for the new "easy to purchase" and locally available contactor, then extend the wiring suitably, in conduit or however, dependent on where installed and local regulations.
The simplest thing is to remove the original contactor, and check with the manufacturer of same.
If you know the heater voltage/wattage and the coil voltage of the contactor, it should be easy to get a replacement.
If you cannot purchase a replacement, and the coil has open-circuited, perhaps a local motor-rewinding shop could rewind the coil, or you could do that yourself, after carefully counting the turns as you remove them - note most coils fail at the ends, and often may be "cheat repaired" using a bit of ingenuity and a short piece of connecting wire, soldered carefully to the broken end of the coil wire.
Contacts may be built up by a local gas welding workshop, using "Silfos" or other high Silver content welding sticks, then carefully file to get the correct shape, and polish until smooth with wet and dry paper, ensuring all contacts are the same height when refitted - I've done it before, on old wharf cranes, which makers went out of business some 70+ years ago.
