Air Leaks, Flow, Consumption

01/28/2008 9:22 PM

http://www.ifps.org/Education/WhitePapers/KreherFormula.htm

How much air do I need?

What is the formula for leak rate?

How long will it take for a volume at pressure to decay to a lower pressure or zero?

These questions and many more may benefit from the link above

Hey Darth

You may have observed some of the questions on these topics within the last couple of months. Most questions unfortunately don't give the data necessary to answer.

Some I recall asked; What is the formula for leak rate from a ball valve? How big a compressor do we need? etc.

The International Fluid Power Society web page and education section has some stuff that they can use for self help [or not].

Assuming that you Star Wars Guru types don't eat or have inappropriate interpersonal relations with other peoples dogs, Yes; that is my dog.
