Mixing Theory & How to Design Mixer Machine

Hello

Say Hi again. I'm a new member of this good web board.

I would anyone to help me about my work. I was assigned to design mixer machine but I don't have knowledge about mixing theory. If anyone has a source about mixing theory or how to design mixer, please tell me.

We need some more information about this items being mixed...

liquid

gaseous

gelitain

solid

Operating temperature

volume

power source

specific density

available area to put the machine in

How idiot proof do the controls need to be

Just a lot of information so we can help properly.

For more information.

Material to be mixed : crushed limestone with cement (Mortar cement)

Material density: crushed limestone(fine particle) = 1.4 t/m3

OPC cement = 1.3 t/m3

Operated temp.: 35 C

Voloum : 2200 liters

Power source : 380V

Erection area : Free area.

There probably isn't a need to re-design a machine for that job.

"Fluid Mixing Technology" by Oldshue -- this is the bible of mixing

better yet get someone to do it by using the service offered by globalspec! (62)

try looking up the resellers of the uniball type ball & shot mixers the root out greey mixing equipment if they cant get one it doesn't exist or cannot be made by them.

I am not sure what you are mixing, but Morehouse-Cowles has a small pocket book Moder Dispersion Technology A Primer in Dispersers. It is helpful when mixing liquid resins.
