communication engineering graduation project

Don't panic! Although there are different meanings to "undergraduate" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Undergraduate depending upon the country, none of them mean an original Doctorate thesis.

You could not have gotten to where you are, if you weren't smart. But you are over-thinking the problem. What you are being asked to do is show that you can APPLY the knowledge that you have gained.

Think smaller. More importantly think about what you enjoy doing. It doesn't have to be an earth shattering, NASA budget project. Just do something that will show your professor that you can put the pieces together in a straight forward manner.

Go down to your local pub/bar/...., have a few beers, relax your mind, then think about what you would like to make, that will show that you know the subject.

hey .. im mariam ... also an engineering student on my way to last year ..searching for some good ideas and need help.. not intersested totally in software and yet have the famous fears of hardware ... so need somthing that will mix the 2 together.. and be interesting mainly communications not electronics

i'm almost in the same field but with a more advanced electronic knowledge. I am doing my project next year. But from the last few year, i saw the third year present a few good projects like....
- blood pressure monitor and data logging
-blood pulse monitor using UV components.

-someone took like a million data information from his cpu and other places in his computer and had it displayed on an LCD screen and with knobs and stuff ( i missed that presentation but i heard it was good)

-someone had a light show for in his car (hahaha) with like 8 diffferent options for his lights, neons, and other stuff going with music beats or not.

A super alarm clock that illuminates so muuuuchhhhh and yells at you to get up and makes your coffee
-and some random things like that.

thanks god i have graduated now,it was hard and painful but hay..i am free atlast

i made my project about 2G/3G mobile networks,we made several models about it such as:

designing a 2G/3G combined mobile network for a small demograghic area(Maadi) in a view of RF planning//also we applied 3 GSM call scenarios using microcontroller model

((showing the path of the signal through the network terminals using LED's on 3D minimap -we call it makett-))

also we made a software simulation using Matlab software showing the white noise effect and capacity effect and code length effect on CDMA 3G standard.

Finally we excuted the direct sequnce spread spectrum DS-SS technique using VHDL kit.

the doctors admired our work and effort in modern academy for engineering

and i had grade excellent -thanks god-i am currently looking for a job

so wish me luck and i hope the best to you too

yoou can make the same or even improve it,make wi-max simulation software or hardware//or build an optical fiber transmission systems-my friends made it and its not difficult-or robot with simple function.

i'm sorry for the delays i'm searching for a job like crazy.

any way there is alot of topics to choose fromin the communications major

i mentioned my graduation project details earlier and there is more..

also you should make up your mind about ((software simulation)) or ((Hardware implementation)) in some collages there is some kind of ((case study)) or research a new technology and make detailed report about it but i don't recommend that.

here is some topics ,make some online search to read about everyone and choose the most convenient.

1.wirless network simulation//or realization.

2.capacity analysis and constrains in 3G /2G networks.

3.IDMA (interleave division multiple access.)

4.chip spread spectrum modulation

5.wi-fi//wi-max design and applications.

6.DX communications (DXing transiever)

7.implementation of CDMA on FPGA using VHDL using Voice circuits as users data.(i also did that).

there is alot more ,look through and send some feedbacks to me..

most important ..choosing your team is more important than choosing your grad projets,thanks god i had the greatest team.
