Definition Requalification

Hi, Do you know the meaning of "Requalification" ?

This is for a pipilene.

Whenever an existing pipeline is to be modified ( worked on) the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC will prepare an environmental assessment (EA) that will discuss the environmental impacts. Therefor, the pipeline must be "requalified " That is requalifying pipeline segments by
hydrostatic testing to make sure the pipe can pass the bursting pressure requirements.
