Tolerance (Gap) Between Mesh Jaw Coupling

02/07/2008 2:00 PM

Compliment to every member of CR4.Please,I need to know the minimum gap/tolerance space between the meshing/mating jaw coupling of 560mm diameter. If there is data table to extract value of tolrance for different sizes of jaw couplings,it will go along way in solving my problem. Thanks

Try www.globalspec.com

and do a search for jaw coupling.

Then refine the search by your 560mm diameter. (Is that the bore diameter or the coupling OD diameter?)

Some of the manufacturers catalogs will include the information that you need

If you got nothing-

Go for 1º gap for the soft intermediate piece to compress.
