Smallest storage device to store analog data

02/07/2008 4:25 PM

Hi,

I am getting analog data in mV.I need to store the data in a storage device which should as small as possible. Can any one suggest any such if available in market. If the signal conditioner and voltage amplificetion possible in the same device it would be great.

http://www.maxim-ic.com/products/ibutton/ is pretty much as small as you can get. To do generic mV datalogging, you have to be a bit more hardware enclined...

I had good experiences with products from Onset for a fully programmable solution.

You ma look an producs from Enocean too.

Hmmmm small as possible, analogue data.... is the data sampled or do you want it continuously recorded?

I'm sort of thinking about using a CCD linear chip... I've used them for audio and they are quite good, they just need a input and output buffer and a clock to increment the CCD.

They were used for audio delay and echo lines when they first came out...

A chip is about as small as you can get I guess...

John.
