Stepping motors usually don't need a capacitor for start or run...

Are you sure it is a stepping motor???

I have gotten dizzy looking at all the different caps. try NEWARK and ALLIED ELECTRONICS. They will be your best bet. Newark supplies a lot of military stuff, try there first. That is an odd size on the cap. Is this for a filtering circuit for the motor?Electroman is right on it, no caps in steppers. Maybe I need a bigger hammer, for the detail work.
