02/12/2008 2:18 AM

Do you please know where I can find complete tables of physical and chemical characteristics of liquids (all kind of liquids)?

Thank you very much and have a good day!

Bye

Hello vale79...

you may try this link:

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/material-properties-t_24.html

you may also try another, though this may not have all that you may wish to have:

http://www.azom.com/materials.asp

best wishes

There are some liquids in Matweb.

The most complete listings of all chemicals is at CAS

Another good source is Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances (RTECS)

A good tool to start with, that will reference both is the NIOSH Pocket guide

Hi vale79storm,

I've found this site to be helpful for pure compounds:

http://webbook.nist.gov/chemistry/

Best Regards,

Mike

The properties of many liquids can be found in a range of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering textbooks. Try Perry, "Chemical Engineers' Handbook" - any edition.

How about the CRC (Chemical Rubber Company) Handbook of Chemistry and Physics?

The following websites provide some information, although the NIST website mentioned is probably the most comprehensive in terms of physical properties.

If you don't have one already, I strongly suggest getting a copy of Perry's Chemical Engineer's Handbook. Lots of physical properties listed in the book, a very good reference manual.

Amazon has these:

Or you can get older editions, which are just as good off of ebay.

All depends in what kind of matter is, liquids you can dig on PRAUTNITZ physical and chemical properties tables, API is good source for liquids with origin in oil.

Have you tried the Chemical Engineering Handbook or Handbook of Chemistry and Physics or International Critical Tables? Thats where I would start.
