Motor Requirements

02/19/2008 2:19 AM

Hi,

I have to use a electric motor (AC or DC)to rotate a mechanical load with speed range of 5 to 10 rpm. The torque required to overcome the laod is 735 Nm.
Suggest what type of motor and specifications required and for this low speed shall i require any reduction mechanism if yes please suggest the mechanism.

This low speed motor can be implemented by torque motor. but the max torque I can offer is 350Nm.

otherwise. you can choice gear motor, which can have torque up to 30000and ratio 8--200.

How many do you want?

100kg load? how muchh is its arm distance? you may use small torque motr for your aim. to reduce cost.

0.1-20rmp is no problem.

stepper motor neednt converter for its control, it has its own controller to control speed.

how much power converter do you need?

where are you from?

For this low rpm u need to use a reduction mechanism to ensure an efficient and economically sized motor is used.Motorised gear units may be the best option .If for this speed its not available then only option is to use a gear box with the motor as a coupled set.
