Electronic keycard for door entry or access

I was using a system and scraped it ± 15 years ago. It was sold under the name Cardkey. (Google for Cardkey )

That would be a cheap project because it used magnetic swipe cards.

There are other products available (Bar code, Dallas data buttons and RF tags, RFID etc)

What other technology are you planning to use? (PC, microcontroller PIC....)

The value for a final year product you have to determine with your institutions standards authority.
