Hello Guest,

There appears to be confusion in your above Post.

(+ve) indicates Positive of a DC Supply.

(Neutral) indicates the earthed conductor of AC supply mains.

Advise further please, with to clarify what you mean.

Kind Regards....

Let me guess. Sometime se are electrucuted even is we touch neutral wire of a circuit. That's is because if there is unbalanced load.

Hello biswanath.das

Evidently where you are located, a MEN (Multiple Earthed Neutral) Mains System is not used.

With a MEN System of power distribution, such voltages on a Neutral are impossible, unless the line connections are improperly done by a linesman, and then the line is not actually the Neutral.

Kind Regards....

Yes. Even if MEN system if used the maintenance and periodic testing is required in absence of which the neutral voltage may appear.

Sparky,

Here is the US, MEN is not well practiced. ABout 20 years ago, I did the electrical design for a suite of labs going into a new building and I specified Individual MEN lines for each room. The accountanty types in order to save money changed that to a single ground (earthing) line run to the closest panel box, which turned out to also be the one for the elevator motors.

We starting losing computers during the night and, when I put a voltage recorder on, I found the ground would rise up to about 70 VAC around 2:30 am every night. A little checking revealed that the cleaning crew took their break then and they would race the elevators for fun - 4 starting currents at once did the trick. That, and the fact that the builders had improperly tied the neutral and ground together in the box.

Hello TVP45

I can understand your frustration in that situation.

The Bean Counters have to be closely watched, and sometimes fought vigorously against, or troubles creep in about which they knoweth not.

In your above case, the repairs would have been more expensive than your original and proper design.

Kind Regards....

Question the need to <...touch +ve wire and...neutral wire...>. If these are exposed under normal operation, the installation is unsafe to ordinary persons.
