Psychrometric Chart

03/16/2008 8:13 AM

can i use the pyschrometric chart for 100KPa, even if the air is blown thru fan?

the air pressure increases when blown by fan, right?

will there be a difference in change in enthalpy? (for charts at 100 Kpa and at higher pressure, with same dry and wet temp)

I would say yes. 100kPa (assuming you mean absolute, not gauge) is about atmospheric pressure. A fan only likely to raise this by about 1kPa (depending on fan type) so doesn't make a big difference.

To a good first approximation, yes.

the fan that i will use is from the window-type air con running at 1050rpm. do you think that using the 100Kpa chart is still a good approximation?
