Variable Resistor

I want to check the variable resistor with the multimeter. How can i check it?

It depends on if it's in a circuit or not, if it's not, ohm it out. Turn it from min to max and see if it does those resistances. If it does, it works, if it doesn't it doesn't work. If it's in a circuit you'll have to check the voltage drop across it. Depending on how accurate you need it you may have to find out what kind of current it has coming out and use Ohm's Law to find out what resistance you have.
