We would like to assist you in your activities but we are from the USA. What kind of problem precludes you to discount others. If you are joining the scientific and engineering metallurgical world then there can be no boundaries.

We have access to any and every piece of equipment (new or used) for iron and steel making and we have a complete engineering consulting group to help you put it together from beginning to commissioning.

Please contact T.C.Inc. at tcinc002@aol.com or see our information in the directory for iron and steel by the AIST. We specialize in assistance for developing world areas.

Hi kouroshsteelmaker,You do not indicate where you are BUT you say you would like to buy from Turkey... and then India or China.Turkey is not known for steel manufactirung machines...and the other two use European and American machines.Mital steel are looking to close smaller plants down in South Africa,UK well just about any where so they might be interested in selling to you.BUT understand at arms length so when you need to learn to run that is an extra cost.BUT they might just not like an extra player in the steel market.Have you looked at raw materials and where you are going to get them...scrap only goes so far and many steel mines have long term contracts with steel makers and would be shy to supply in comp to their clients.

Productivity is also a question that you will need to look at.

New machines and technology = less scrap and lower real running costs.

All this is to say do not close your eyes to European and USA guys they might just help you get to your goals quicker and less costly than you think....

You wrote: i and some financiers decide to...

Do you mean to say that you have DECIDED to build a factory of 100,000 tonnes per annum and that without prior having the precise answers to the questions you raised?

Do your investors know that?

Incredible.

Dear Karouch The Steel Maker,

I made a comment on the thread acting bitterly when I see a restriction to the scientific community on communications, whether I am from the US or not it makes a sour taste in your mouth.

T.C.Inc. was established over 20 years ago as an international engineering and consulting firm in the iron and steel technology area. We specialize in project development and using the most modern of technologies and thinking. We have and can put together a project from beginning to end using inputs from you on your local conditions and recommending the methods and equipment to use.

If you are a deserving third world nation then some of our services are free to get started and if the services of consulting are through the internet. Free meaning we do not charge fees for internet communications to begin the process.

If you are a serious developer, please contact T.C.Inc. for more information at tcinc002@aol.com

Dear Kouroshsteelmaker,

I am sorry but I don't know what letter you are referring to, indicating you are from Iran. Again, I apologize but we have been advised that we are not allowed to discuss nor transfer any technology to Iran under any circumstances, due to the sanctions against your country by the United Nations and further from the US. I hope others that will respond are aware of the implications and I hope you realize that any body that deals with Iran through a third party country like Dubai is also in violation of the UN sanctions and I hope that companies from Japan who have been forwarding information developed by US companies through dummy companies in Switzerland also are in violation of these sanctions..

Whether I agree or not with the sanctions they still exist. Perhaps some day we can get on with business.

Kourosh,

Firstly, good luck with your endeavour, as a metallurgical engineer on a similar route I understand what you are thinking.

I have first hand experience with the Indian manufacturers of equipment. Firstly, their equipment compare favourably in terms of quality, but their prices are much lower. You can contact a good friend of mine in India called Mukesh Bhandari, CMD of Electrotherm India Ltd. They supply melting furnaces and other equipment to the steel industry, and in addition to that have recently built their own steel plant doing pretty much what you are planning.

Their details are as follows:

www.electrotherm.com

+91-2717-234553, 234613, 660550

sales@electrotherm.com (attention Deepak Agrawal)

Mention to him that you got his details from TC in South Africa and he will help you.

Regards,

TC Kruger

100,000 tons per year? This is a backyard business a mere 12 tons per hour furnace. No supplier in his right mind will supply one. What you're looking for is a post world war 2 antique. Better try trading/importing the steel bars.
