Micro crystals

03/27/2008 1:10 PM

Micro crystal 1QX0-365 12.0 mhz mfg date 1998

I would like to know about life cycles.

1. age of the component vs failures

2. will failures increase with power on/off cycles?

this component is used in may different temperature ranges and power is cycled more times than I would desire. A replacement made by CMac seems to have a much better life cycle.

Go to the manufacturer... If he cannot provide the information, find a new source.

12 MHz crystals are quite common.
