Looking how to electronically

03/29/2008 5:00 PM

HI!, I am working in a project that uses 24V. D.C., MY PROBLEM is

that i can not find how to change the polarity of the current in the electromagnets I am using... it has to be with a range of around 500 times per second. Could somebody give me some guide to who contact..?

Hello,

Given the inevitable waveform distortion, could you just use ac for this?

If reverse leads and flash them it does not change?

Look up full-bridge motor driver or pulse width modulated circuits, such as LM18245 and associated control circuits.

Connect the coil of the electromagnet in an H-Bridge of 4 transistors. Drive the base of alternate pairs of the transistors with astable oscillator of 500 Hz.

There is care to be taken as to Ton and Toff timing of the transistor pairs, not to end up shorting out the supply.

A small deadband is necessary.
