There are several electric motors in a car already... wiper motor, blower motor, seat motors....

I got a simple DC brush motor from a wiper motor assembly from a junk yard for $10.

There are also brushless DC motors with electronic drive from various companies,

but these are very expensive... check out RC toys, and some trolling motors.
