0 - 5VAC output

04/01/2008 6:12 PM

I want to buy a small hand held unit with a 0-5VAC variable current output to use for input signal for RTU for testing and calibration purpose. If you have any advice to supplier or if it is easy let me know how to build one.

Thanks

You could find something here

http://www.newark.com/

However, you may have to buy a unit with many features that youy don't need. It may be cheaper to make up an instrument on your own.

0-5VAC variable current? I think that this is an April Fools prank.

Ace,

You forget where you are and what "guests" are capable of.

Still, you may be right.

Could some body explain to me that why there is no a 0-5VAC variable out put calibrator. I am wondering if the RTU is designed to take 0-5VAC input signal from the secondary CT line signal, how someone could test and calibrate from test bench before installing the RTU in the field.

Thanks

Hi Guest,

"hand held unit with a 0-5VAC variable current output"

Do you mean variable VOLTAGE output from 0-5V?

Mike
