Hello friends,

First of all thanks to all whoe helped me in my previous projects.

I have been assigned 3 more projects.

1. Role of slits and filters in Xray Diffraction

2. Diffusionless Transformation.

3.Molybdenum Steel

If any of you guys have any kind of information regarding these or about website you know.... then please post it.

1. i have found some patents regarding XRD, but i want to be more specific about dimensions n materials of slit can be used.... what are the materials of sltis are in use and the alternatives material which can be used..

2.i dont know much about diffusion less transformation.

3.Molybdenum steel: i want its making and its application (existing and more possibilites).

Please help me..

thanks alot...

This seems to touch on all the questions you have asked so I suspect your 3 projects are actually linked into 1 project.

Tip on google searching. type the simplest of descriptions of what you want.

In the search results open some that catch your eye in a new window or tab.

In these results you will find new terminology which you then feed back into the search page for google to get more detailed info.

Anybody can do this so you don't really need us for that but by all means come back and tell us what you got to learn.

Have you had any discussion of heat treatment and martensitic transformations yet?

It clear that these projects are clearly congruent in familiarizing you with xray crystallography of quenched and tempered molybdeneum steel.

You need to "hear the unheard" ie get both denotation and connotation.

It has been said noone can teach you -you have to teach yourself.

T.T. LIANG is a famous Tai chi Master- the title of his memoir is "steal my art" in otherwoods, pay attention and learn by careful observation analysis and study, of your teachers utterings, rather than waiting to be given discrete "truths."

Question for you, WHy out of all the elements available, do you think they assigned Molybdenum?

PS ,it DOES have something to do with diffusionless transformation.

By the way, These kinds of transformations are not limited to steel; and do not always require quenching to achieve, cold work can also drive such a reaction.

Look beyond the surface of the words employed to the intent of the syllabus.
