PME

Guys, I am a noephyte for a fire system design. If my source of water is a tank, should i include the inside hose of 50 gpm or 100 gpm if more than one hose? If my tank is in the roof how to calculate the fire pump capacity compared to if my tank is in the ground. IF i use HMD method, Should I calculate only the HMD and the calculation will cover the whole area of the building? Thanks

I would suggest that designing a sprinkler system, for that is what it sounds like you are doing, is not a task for a neophyte. Besides which the insurance companies will not appreciate it.

I would suggest, even if you are going to build this thing yourself, that you find the nearest fire sprinkler company and at least pay them to design the system on a computer with the proper software.

Jack with due respect, this is my job and I am not familiar with Fire sprinkler design. I am a designer for HVAC.But since this is a mechanical job I accepted the design. I have elite software for fire but what I ask I can not find in the software. If you can help and if you are a designer please give me a hint. Thank you
