MOLD FLOW ANALYSIS

CAN MOLD FLOW ANALYSIS BE DONE IN ANSYS SOFTWARE?

IF NOT ,WHY?

IF YES, what is the advantage using ANYS?

Yes it can, and it is routinely used.

We have just had an 8 impression tool mad out in China...the mold flow was vital to show that some critical areas were going to fill well and at the right temperature, also that all cavities would fill at the same rate. The part included overmolding a tube which is inserted into the tool, it was vital that the overmolded portion fused nicely to the tube. We have had first sample back and they are good...
Various parts were left 'metal safe' and these require minor adjustment.
