Why the deareator is located at very height?

A Deaerator is installed on feed tanks to deaerate oxygen from condensate & feed makeup water. The feed tank is installed always at height to give positive head to the feed pumps and safeguard it from pump cavitation. Since the feed tank is at a height and the deaerator is installed on top hence it is at a height always.

If the Deaerator is not at the highest point air or gas may be trapped in the space above it.
