Open Source Moon Mission!!!

04/18/2008 4:53 PM

Hello CR4!

I just wanted to let you all in on a great team that is working on the Google Lunar X-Prize competition. If you have not heard of it, take a look here:

http://www.googlelunarxprize.org/

The point of these competitions is to promote the development of new technology and the point of CR4 is to spread the news on new technology while helping out your fellow engineer / scientist.

I am helping out with 3D modelling and other items as I can, but the biggest issue (of course) is money. The team is donating hundreds of personal hours on the design and we need the engineering and scientific community to pitch in. Yes, I am begging for your very hard earned dollars - but for a good cause.

You could spend $4 on that second cup of fancy coffee, or you could feel good today about giving that $4 (or $400) to Team FredNet! There are hundreds of you out there that I am sure would love to see this team win. So PLEASE jump in to help out. Here is more information:

For news and to donate:

Thanks,

Stephan Bradley, Team Member

When space is conquered, it will be by private businesses, not by tax-supported, politically influenced, bureaucratically tangled government types. Go for it.
