3 Phase power factor corrected rectifier

04/20/2008 7:26 AM

I am working on a 100KW three phase power factor corrected rectifier. It uses 6 IGBT switches in Switched mode rectifier mode (three pase IGBT Bridge). Input is 400V 3 phase and out put is 700V dc. It is continiuosly loaded and is working fine. Measured PF is near unity. Is there any major disadventage for this topology compared to vienna rectifier or boost topology as this topology is very rarely used in practical applications. Why this topology is not popular- is because of controll circuit complexity.

If you are doing this and it works fine...maybe you should be answering questions ..or publishing your design on a blog ?
