calculation of horsepower

how do you calculate the the horsepower of an engine given the engine displacement capacity.(e.g. 2500 cc.)?

There is a rough correspondence but no equivalence. Search for previous threads on this.

exact bore*stroke and compression ratio reqd.simply diplacement is not enough but if you know the make mebbe you can estimate roughly
