LCOS Microdisplay

07/12/2006 4:56 PM

I'm looking for spectral reflectance data in the visible-infrared spectrum on LCOS microdisplay devices. Any ideas would be appreciated.

LCOS

Check out SpatiaLight -- they have some information on the technology. The US government has sponsored research using LCOS technology to produce camoflage clothing which uses cameras and LCOS displays to virtually look at the surroundings and reproducing what the cameras "see." I can only imagine that spectral properties would be of significant interest, given that infrared sensors and 'scopes can detect body heat. I don't know who's doing the research, but Sandia Labs might be a place to start.
