PEFS and P&ID

are both PEFS(process engg. flow scheme) and P&ID(piping and instrument diagram) same?

no , assuming PFD (process flow diagram ) & p&id are different ,

pfd is a generic representation of the process with , first few pages devoted to mass balance,from which we can find the process data and put in our data sheet, in pfd stream number is provided

pid is more into detailed stage with line numbers/rating/size /instrument tag all being displayed

I suppose both PEFS & P& ID are same. You are talking about PFD & P &ID. I agree that Both PFD & P &ID are different. But question is being asked whether PEFS & P ID are different??

Yes they are the same.

PFS is the equivalent of Sinle line diagram
