Industrial fabrics with different substrates(polyester, nylon, etc) embedded between layers of vinyl (PVC), that are joined by sew/stitch them together with the consequence of having holes made by the needle where the water can go through which is not convenient as they are used as covers, tarps, and in general to protect from sun, wind, etc.
Some other methods are to glue them with vinyl cement (i.e HH66), does any body knows of other cements suitable to resist the Marine environment, sun, wind, salt and water?
Look also at hot sealing at http://www.weldmaster.com/weldingtech/ with hot wedge or rollers at http://www.sineqco.com/products/TriadDescription.asp
I heard there is also a Dielectric sealing?
In general all those equipment
are costing thousands and thousands of dollars, and I am writing here to try to
find affordable methods to seal the thermoplastics in NON-STRAIGHT LINES NON-FLAT SURFACES (Canvas for boats)
Please peruse the two links above, so you can focus only in new information in the forum.
Thanks in advance for your input.
