63A Receptacles

05/12/2008 2:07 AM

Hi friends,

Help me out in this. I have 10 63A welding receptacles connected in to a PDB. What shall be the incomer size of the PDB. As we are not going to use all the 10 welding loads at a time i am confused regarding this rating. If its a nuclear project i shall consider 80%. But this being a refinery, what % shall i consider. 20% or 50%??????

Your diversity factor depends on what type of work is being done.....If you are planning on having turnaround maintenance with a number of crews working at the same time your deiversity factor will be 80%....If you are planning on using it only for standard maintenance I would tend to use 40% but I would not go much lower....
